Crispy Garlic Ginger Chicken Wings

These were so good that I might use the sauce with other dishes. My husband and I finished 25 of these between the two of us.  They were REALLY good! The chicken wings were organic from Costco and were already cut into the two parts of the wing and without tips.  I have no clue what the technical terms for that would be, sorry.  Unless you have a huge oven or a double oven, you will probably have to make two batches.

  • 5 lbs chicken wings (costco organic)
  • 1 Tbsp salt
  • 2 Tbsp avocado oil (or other paleo friendly oil)
  • 1/2 cup raw organic honey
  • 4 Tbsp coconut aminos
  • 4×1 inch piece of ginger, peeled and sliced thin
  • 6 large crushed garlic cloves

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees. Combine the honey, aminos, garlic, and ginger in a small saucepan. Simmer for 10 minutes over medium heat. Strain over a bowl and set aside to cool and thicken. In a large bowl, combine the first three ingredients. Put a rack on a large baking sheet. Put the chicken in a single layer without touching. Bake for 40 minutes. Remove the chicken from the oven and brush with the sauce. Increase the oven temperature to 475 degrees and bake for 5 more minutes. Keep an eye on them as the sugar in the sauce can burn quickly. Remove from oven and enjoy!
